Keep a Look Out for Hazards

Encouraging Workers to Keep a Look Out for Electrical Hazards

Electrical workplace incidents has steadily increased in the past 9 years. The prevalence of electrocution as the cause of workplace deaths climbed from 16% in 1995 to 29% in 2001.

The Electrical Safety Authority is encouraging workers to keep a look out for electrical hazards. The chance of electrical incidents occurring in the workplace increases when products, equipment, and tools do not meet recognized safety standards. The Electrical Safety Authority has produced checklists to help facility owners, managers, and Health & Safety representatives to identify and record potential hazards.
