If you are planning to file an appeal with the Director of Appeals, this section will provide you with the information you need to know about the appeals process.

The guides listed below will walk you through each step that is required when filing an appeal with either ESA’s Director of Appeals regarding a Notice of Proposal or Orders. This includes the steps in the process beginning with what needs to be submitted as part of the application package and to what happens at a hearing before the review panel.

Please Note: Individuals seeking to appeal a Review of an ESA Order are encouraged to speak with the Senior Inspector or Technical Advisor before filing an appeal.

Please note that the process for appealing Orders is separate from the process to appeal Notice of Proposals.
