ESA Utility Advisory Council

In June 2004 the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) introduced a comprehensive process to ensure an industry-supported implementation of the Electrical Distribution Safety Regulation. The introduction of a Utility Advisory Council has facilitated the development of the operational details of the regulation. The Council is comprised of 30 members representing local distribution companies, consumers, labour unions, manufacturers, standards-writing organizations, safety associations, electrical contractors and other regulatory authorities.
